For the things we have to learn before we can do them, we learn by doing them.

Grab a PVC pipe and starting learning some cool Olympic movements...

Something we like to do at CrossFit 615, before launching you into our CrossFit classes, is to make sure you have the knowledge you need to make the most out of your time here.  To do this, we have our new athletes participate in our CrossFit classes with a scaled workout, we call CrossFit Lite, to get the body use to the pace of a CrossFit class, then we have them participate in our CrossFit Foundations class.  This class will introduce barbell movements and Olympic lifts to the athlete. (If you are an experienced CrossFitter who is looking to transfer to our box, you will not be required to take foundations if approved by Coach Brandon)

We will start off using a PVC pipe and progress to a 15lb technique bar and then to either a men's barbell or women's barbell depending on hand size and level of comfort.  Here coaches will go over different Olympic lifting movements and discuss proper form and technique from feet and hand position to the theories of hip movement as it applies to force and the ability to move the weight efficiently.

After being approved by Coach Brandon, the athlete may join our regular CrossFit classes and begin the exciting journey of technique, form, making progress, breaking boundaries, and having fun!

Our Foundations are divided up into 4 classes and are held the FIRST TWO WEEKS of EACH MONTH on Monday and Tuesday nights at 7:45pm. They last 1 hour. You must confirm with Brandon you are attending Foundations If you cannot attend the Foundations Classes, you must schedule a one on one with Brandon. One on One classes are $50/class. Your safety and wellbeing are paramount to us.

Foundations Classes are available to all CrossFit 615 members to better improve technique and form as they see fit.
